Conversations with the Other Side

The most consistent message from those who have crossed to the Other Side — as reported through mediums and near-death experiencers alike — is that they are at peace, that they continue to be aware of and care for those they have left, and that love is the only thing that truly matters. Every life, however brief or painful from the earthly perspective, is perfectly designed for the soul that chose it — the child who dies young has fulfilled its specific purpose, and the grief of those left behind is a measure of the love, not a measure of the tragedy. The question "why did this happen to me?" is better replaced by "what is this experience teaching me and what quality of soul is it developing?" — this shift in question genuinely changes the relationship to suffering.
