Here and Hereafter

The soul chooses the broad parameters of each incarnation before birth — the family, the major challenges, and the specific lessons — in order to work out karmic obligations and develop qualities it lacks. Karma is not punishment but education — it operates with the same precision as any natural law, and understanding it replaces resentment with acceptance and purpose. The recognition of past lives — whether through regression, déjà vu, or inner knowing — can dramatically accelerate healing in the present life.
