A World Beyond is Ruth Montgomery's account of the automatic writing communications she began receiving from Arthur Ford — one of the most celebrated American mediums of the twentieth century — shortly after his death in 1971. Ford's communications, transmitted through Montgomery's hand without her conscious direction, described his experiences in the afterlife realms with an insider's specificity and intelligence: the initial process of death and transition, the quality of consciousness in the immediate post-death state, the life review, the social structures of spirit life, the ongoing nature of spiritual development after death, and the relationship between the living and the dead in the broader economy of consciousness.
